The Goal
– Install recycling stations to meet Welsh Government Workplace Recycling Regulations (April 2024)
– Include separate bins for all key waste types
– Match finishes to existing office panelling
– Use clear signage with large backboards and door-level labels
The Problem
– Lack of separate bins for liquids, glass, and crisp packets
– Outdated bins and unclear signage clash with office design
– Poor recycling habits causing contamination and more general waste
The Solution
– Unisort Aspire recycling stations were implemented with specific shaped apertures for liquids, crisp packets and glass
– Highly visible signage in multiple spots, including doors and backboards, using icons, text, and colour coding
– Panelling added to match existing office design, creating a more cohesive and visually appealing look
Customer Feedback
The Unisort Aspire stations are a significant improvement over our previous setup.
Not only are they much more visually appealing, but they also integrate seamlessly with the overall design aesthetic of our office. The finishes complement our existing décor perfectly, making the stations feel like a natural part of the environment rather than an add-on. We’ve had positive comments from staff, and it’s clear that the new design encourages better use and engagement.
