Permitted and licensed waste receiving sites in England and Wales must use the service from 1 October 2026. Scotland follows from 1 January 2027.
The published implementation date for Northern Ireland should be checked against the latest government guidance, while waste collectors are currently expected to move to mandatory use from October 2027.
